The first Space Quest was created by Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy from Sierra, in 1986. It is about a character named Roger Wilco, a janitor, who accidentally saves the day from the evil Sariens. There are two versions of Space Quest 1. The original was in EGA, but a remake is available in VGA.

Space Quest 1 and 2 were created using the AGI system, further sequels used SCI.
