Description
Adventure Game Design System or AGDS is the first fan made suite for creating and editing AGI games. AGDS was created by Alex Simkin with help from Serge Lapin. It was created around 1990 or 1991.
It was written in Russia around 1990-91. I believe one of the authors may be Alex Simkin, whos name replaces "Avis Durgan" as the encryption key in AGIDATA.OVL. The utilities seem to be made by a group called Elias, and the sample game made by a group called Intep.
The programs and documentation are all in Russian, but in the DOC directory are two files, COMMON.TRD and COMMON.PRS which have been translated into english. The translation was done by a computer program, so the english isn't that good and a few words here and there have not been translated, but you can make sense of it (COMMON.TRD is the easiest to read). Note that during the translation process some of the tables were stuffed up, so you may have to look at the original COMMON.DOC for these.
